Why GBAF?
We are here to provide an alternative take on amputee football in Great Britain. If this amazing sport is to find its way into the Paralympics, we need the opportunity to compete as a Great Britain Team not just as England, Scotland, and Wales.
Who can play?
Anyone with an amputation can compete at club level; however the qualifying rules for international competitors within tournaments are very strict and outfield players must play on elbow crutches, whilst goalkeepers must have an abbreviation from the wrist or above on one arm.
What do I need to do to get involved?
To qualify for the GB team you need to be an amputee or have a congenital deficiency and currently play regular first team football at club level. Fit these criteria? Then get in contact us and we can arrange to get you in for a trial.
Where can I play?
See the ‘News’ section of the site. This page advertises amputee sessions around the country, here you can advertise your session or your desire to start one if you send us the details.
